“A person is what they think about all day long.”
This quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson highlights what we know about the importance of attitude.
One of the laws of the universe is the Law of Cause and Effect. This law states that what you attract into your life is a direct result of the causes you bring into existence. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Your thoughts can either attract positive effects into your life and business or your thoughts can or attract negative effects into your life and business. The universe is neutral to this. It is entirely your choice. One aspect of your life where you have a choice is your attitude.
Choose your attitude
Your attitude is a combination of your thoughts, feelings and actions. Your thoughts affect your feelings and your feelings dictate your actions. But it is a double-edged sword.
You can equally choose to create a cycle of success or choose a cycle of limitation and lack.
Your results are a direct effect of your attitude. If you think in negative terms, you get negative results. If you think in positive terms, you get positive results. When you realise you have such power within you to choose your reality, you can either step into this power or shrink from it.
Attitude begins with your choice of thoughts. Depending on the thoughts you choose, your attitude originates from this.
You may step out of your house and think: “What a wonderful day, I’m grateful to be alive and I can’t wait to see what today brings but whatever it is, it is going to be positive.” Your positive attitude will dictate the outcomes in your day.
Or you could step out of your house and think: “Not another horrible day, it’s just another day of grind and I just know that something will go wrong today to anger or upset me.” Your negative attitude will dictate the outcomes in your day.
When you bring emotion to your thoughts, you shift your whole being. Your attitude moves your body into a vibration to match – and you’re either raising or lowering your vibration. This is why your attitude is seen as a double-edged sword or two sides of the same coin.
Attitude is everything
You probably know business owners who appear to be on a constant losing streak, where bad luck follows them around – they are struggling with cash flow, staff issues and customer support problems.
You probably also know people who seem to have it all. They make things happen and everything falls into place. They go from success to success, growing rapidly and also seem to hire the best people and win the best clients.
Take a step back and assess what you know about them. What is the difference? Is it attitude? Do those constantly struggling blame others and refuse to take responsibility? Do those who constantly win take control of how they feel and know it is all on them?
Because the good news is that you have the power. You can experience a positive life of abundance and joy – and all you need to do is change your attitude.
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
