How to fall in love with an idea (to reach your goals faster)

One of the biggest challenges facing those business owners and entrepreneurs that we coach is not their lack of effort or hard work in going for a goal. It is a problem with the goal itself.

A major reason people struggle to get what they want is they are simply not excited by what they are looking to achieve. Their big goal or vision doesn’t excite them.

We often hear goals like “replace my income” or “grow to six figures” or “add 20 per cent more profit this year”. While those are nice, sensible goals, they are “settling”. In other words, they’re safe.

Stop being safe and start getting scared. To increase your chances of success, build an image and a vision of whatever it is that you *really* want. Be honest with yourself, there is probably something you *really* want that you are holding back from admitting or rationalising to yourself that “now isn’t the right time” or “it’s a silly goal” or something like that.

To increase your chances of success, go for a goal that you have no idea how to achieve.

And then fall in love with it.

Why fall in love?

When you fall in love with a goal, you stop controlling it. You stop trying to overcomplicate it. Rather than you guiding it, it guides you. By giving the idea to your subconscious, you let it work on your mind – and when you are excited and enthused about a goal you are holding in your mind, your body rises to match the vibration and take action.

Don’t be satisfied with making small, sensible changes in your business. Think bigger, more ambitious and watch your results multiply.

How exciting is that?!

The important thing is to leave ‘being sensible’ behind. You need to think illogically and think far beyond where you are now. Allow yourself to dream bigger than you’ve dreamt before… and find that idea you can fall in love with.

When you’ve found it, do this next (this is really important):

Take a card and write:

“I am so happy and grateful now that…” and detail your goal in the present tense – as if you have already achieved it.

It may feel a bit odd, but it is absolutely critical that you do this. When you see your goal written out in front of you, your conscious mind sees it. When you see it in your mind, it must exist, and you already have it.

Whenever you think about your goal, you become emotionally involved. You plant it deep inside you and inside your subconscious mind. Remember, it’s not enough to hold it in your conscious mind. You need to feel it intellectually AND emotionally.

When you do, it’s only a matter of time before it becomes real. Take the time to think about what you really want. What goal is big and exciting enough for you to fall in love with?

(Make sure you write it down)

It’s not enough to hold your goal in your conscious mind. You need to feel it intellectually and emotionally
